Big thing to tackle such a project, the SCP universe can be so disjointed I really love any work that harmonizes it in some way. Just played (and lost) my first game, love the concept. Can't wait for further improvements.

Are there any plans to make the game online? I absolutely love the game but it gets kinda boring to play against AI.

Loved the idea but the game has so many bugs, sometimes some effects doesn't happens and one time when I decided to take a character it crashed

I absolutely love the game i just feel it gets a little boring digitally i feel being able to have more AI's/players so you can have like 3 or 4 player games would make it a lot more fun. Love the game tho :p

Great job on the game, I hope it improves in the future with better features and more!

Looks like (for at least the linux version), you may have forgotten to add the .pck file? The error message I get is not very descriptive, that's just the first thing I notice when looking at the install directory.

I'm not sure, since the .pck file is suppose to be embedded. It's already 12:51AM. I'll upload a new and up to date linux version tomorrow

Just for reference, here's all the output I get:

Godot Engine v3.2.rc1.official - https://godotengine.org

OpenGL ES 2.0 Renderer: NVC1

file not found

Segmentation fault

The linux version should be fixed now :D

Linux version does launch now :D

...Unfortunately, now it seems like when I try to play a game (in any of the three modes) it defaults to a PLAYER WON state. Restarting does not help either. The HTML version seems to work fine though? Idk what's up.

Here's the message I get:

Godot Engine v3.2.rc1.official - https://godotengine.org
OpenGL ES 2.0 Renderer: NVC1

file not found
game ended
file not found # Note, I tried restarting
game ended

So far from the HTML version though, I like it quite a bit. There are some disappointing glitches/unimplemented rules here or there but it's an engaging concept.

Hmm the Linux issue is really weird. I'll contact some Godot guys and ask about it.

Anyway, I've since uploaded a very much more polished version of the game :)

Bug: clicking on contain twice means discarding twice as many citizens.

By the way, your screenshot for the HTML5 game has the "Press [Esc] to exit full screen" pop-up.

It might be just that bit nicer to have a screenshot that does not include that.

This page's background image should be the SCP Card Game page's background, not just one colour. It will add a layer of depth to the page and make it look nicer.

Yes, I'll work on that.

I don't want to be rude but it looks more like a polished game on the outside to new comers because the page is so much more appealing.

I think it would be nice if you show a pointer to what you are forced to do like discard some type of card.

Also, I think it would be better if the discard civilian trait was done automatically as long as it chooses family cards or couple cards for 4+ or 2+ number of civilians to be discarded respectively. And just choose the male, female, and child civilian cards randomly.

I think this would be a lot nicer game then. For the paper game, this should not be done randomly.

1. Yes, I'm already planning that. But at the moment, I'm still working on the functionality and design aspect, since most stuff still looks shit, and I think that is more on the "user experience" aspect.
2. Well, I think I'm gonna pass on your suggestion for automatically discarding civilians, since discarding the right civilian can impact the game. Bear that some anomalies would require specific types i.e. gender.

How do you decide the version name? Also, have a good tutorial to use butler?

Edit: What butler channels do you use.

I made my own version naming system. I'm not sure I'm familiar with butler.

I mean what is your own version naming system? Sorry for any confusion.

Did you remove the game download or am I just stupid?

(+1)

Ohh sorry about that :o I've uploaded a new version with AI support :)

Oh ok, just make sure to add a devlog. It is 100% ok just bad timing for me.

Very nice game would recomend to a friend.

Although, 32-bit support has become ancient (last Intel CPU was made in 2011 I think) so supporting it is a waste of time that puts back development/game support of other versions.

Love the fact you support Linux though!!!

I'm glad you found it nice ! :D More updates coming very very soon!
