10+ Best SCP Cards


At the time of this writing, Uncontained will be exactly 5 months old since by first Reddit post. A lot has happened indeed since that time, a lot of cards got designed and immediately scraped, and a hell of alot of playtesting.

But, some of our SCP cards are just... too good. When you draw these SCP cards, they just the game drastically, and gives you a new objective to complete or a new problem to solve.

Let me know show our most iconic SCP cards in this card game:

10. SCP-173 "The Sculpture"

This SCP card isn't iconic because it's directly inspired by the most iconic SCP of all (though it is a factor). But rather, of it's unique ability to become "Uncontainable" once the first player that gets it doesn't immediately contain it. 173's original card effect is actually first used on SCP-1048 "Builder Bear" and then used shortly on SCP-339 "Be Silent Be Still". When I decided that SCP-1048 will be a good core card on the Black Moon expansion, I decided to transfer it to SCP-339. However,SCP- 339 isn't really a good thematic card for it,  so after just a few days, I finally moved the effect to SCP-173, which everyone accepted.

9. SCP-902 "The Final Countdown"

SCP-902 can be one of those cards that is either so useless or so impactful, nothing in between. Why? Because it has the ability to activate "breach" anomalies from every player. Since breach anomalies most often themselves have powerful effects, like SCP-094 "Static Tower", activating these SCP cards more than twice in a game can turn the tides upside down.

8. SCP-2288  "Copy of A"

Getting this SCP card can just be satisfying. It's incredibly useful while contained, and even when it is neutralized, you're still guaranteed to get the civilians you sacrificed to contain it.

7. SCP-2412 -"Cassandra Bot"

When this SCP card was first designed, it immediately became everyone's favorite utility card. SCP-2412 is just Safe, meaning it only requires one civilian to contain it, and it also allows you to "peek" at the first two cards of the Draw pile during the start of your turn. Meaning it removes "randomness" on your end and even control what card the next player gets. It was even buffed when I added the ability of discarding it to search any anomaly from the Draw pile.

6. O5-3 "The Kid"

The only character SCP card in this list, O5-3 is among the simplest but most powerful SCP cards in this game. Since you have the capacity to contain an anomaly, play a character or draw a civilian as an action, having two actions offers a lot of versatility to a player.

O5-3 stayed broken for a long time. It was often synergized with the Ethics Committee Officer and O5-6 "The American" and it just makes a player almost unkillable. Now, playing O5-3 consumes your entire Personnel zone, allow it to be more balanced.

5. SCP-343  "God"


As worded by @Loowood from our Discord server, this SCP card is your "the classic good card", and it's actually a lot more powerful than The Kid. Not only it gives you an extra action during the start of your turn (making it the only SCP capable of containing SCP-173), it also allows you to "peek" at the first card of the Draw pile, similar to Cassandra.

4. SCP-858 "Gravity's Rainbow"

Gravity's Rainbow is one of the newer cards (was just designed around two months ago) and it wasn't already changed ever since. It's impact on the game is so phenomenal, since it has the power to destroy all object anomalies, and turn the tides for players that is leading the game.

3. SCP-701 "The Hanged King's Tragedy"

This SCP card, along with The Kid and The Leviathan, are also one of the few cards that just endured time and was barely changed ever since its conceived. As an SCP card that makes you Discard a civilian and is straight out Uncontainable, it's a complete nightmare to get it on your site. Well, unless you have a Neutralization Specialist, or even better a Scientist (since it allows you to even Contain it), on your hands.

2. SCP-370 "A Key"


Same as The Hanged King's Tragedy, but even worst, getting this SCP card can be a total nightmare. As the only SCP card that can really straight kill everyone, it almost gets instant Contained once a player draws it (unless it's me, I don't contain the Key xD).

1. SCP-2565 "Allison Eckhart"

Lastly, Allison Eckhart is literally our most iconic card. Uncoincidentally  my most favorite SCP too, ask anyone that have played this game and ask for a card that's memorable and there's probably a 90% chance they'll say "Allision". 

Why though? Well, Allison has the power to change the game in the fundamental level, affecting a lot of anomalies in the game. It makes SCP-1269 "The Stalker Mailbox" a very deadly card, makes cards like SCP-2118 "the Lost Child", SCP-089 "Tophet" and SCP-3901 "Rachel Parks" completely obsolete, and buffs SCPs like ●●|●●●●●|●●|● more useful to have.
